Hey must say a very interesting artice...the Idioms are so much more colorful :P

Accha hai yaar...our own version too...we Indians like to express our feelings in so many words...atleast for a 'chatterbox' like me !!

Lolz !! :))

veri nice article...
main tabhi sochu...main kabhi english mein fight kyun nahi kar sakta...everything comes back to hindi...and in the end I have to let it go...:)

The article is indeed beautiful.
Sometimes, I also find it somewhat difficult to express in English, then I use Hindi or better still Punjabi. Many things hold their meaning and charm if they are spoken in a specific language only - if trnslated to other langauge - it looses all it meaning and charm

Preeti Nice article. The reason the quality of spoken english is not so good as far as (many) indians are concerned is bcasue we think in our local dialect and translate the it to English

BTW the part 2 of The Metting is posted in my blog atlast

I don't understand idioms, tenses...blah blah. My Mom was an English teacher and she tried her best to teach me all the nusances of English language but I hated it. I just write as I speak, so am very casual. I like the way Karan Thapar writes though. He is one of my favourites when it comes to articles along with Vir Sanghvi and Khushwant Singh.
